GEL 100 is a concentrated carbohydrate solution encapsulated in a biopolymer matrix. It consists of a unique blend of glucose and fructose (ratio: 0.8:1), allowing for the intake of up to 100g of carbohydrates per hour. It is the world’s first energy gel developed to utilize hydrogel technology.
Maurten’s GEL 100 is made from six natural ingredients and contains no colorants or preservatives. The gel comes in single-serving packages of 40g, containing 60% carbohydrates (25g of carbohydrates per serving). It can be consumed before, during, and/or after activity.

Studies have shown that our bodies can utilize up to 90g of carbohydrates per hour. New research has demonstrated that the 0.8:1 ratio of glucose to fructose allows for better absorption, enabling the intake of up to 100g of carbohydrates per hour. GEL 100 is developed using this specific ratio with a very high carbohydrate concentration of 60%. Each serving contains 25g of carbohydrates.
