Description
Altra Experience Flow, formerly known as AltraFWD Experience, remains a lightweight, soft shoe with a 4 mm drop and a distinct rocker design that helps propel you forward. The foot-shaped, wide toe box allows your toes to spread naturally. This version has been refined with an updated upper for an even more comfortable fit compared to the first version.
The midsole, like in the AltraFWD, is generously cushioned and made from lightweight compression-molded EVA foam, offering a responsive feel without adding unnecessary weight. The cushioning leans toward the firmer side, providing excellent ground feel. The shoe features a rounded design from heel to forefoot, known as a rocker design, which smooths the landing and ensures a seamless transition from foot strike to toe-off. Like most Altra shoes, the geometry leans toward a wider platform, enhancing stability.
The upper has been upgraded with new engineered mesh, designed to be breathable in key areas while providing support where needed. This results in a sleeker look and a more adaptive fit. The roomy toe box, a classic Altra hallmark, allows toes to move freely, while the snug midfoot fit ensures a secure feel for a better running experience.
The outsole features grippy rubber in high-wear areas, and flex grooves in the sole allow the foot’s natural movement to flow uninhibited.
