Welcome to our Running Weekend in Gothenburg – A Weekend for body and mind

Experience an inspiring running weekend that provides both knowledge and energy! We’ve combined running, postural training, and relaxation into a perfect mix to help you improve your running technique, strengthen your body, and enjoy a more relaxed running experience. Whether you’re an experienced runner or a beginner, we offer the tools to make your running pain-free and sustainable in the long term.

During the weekend, you’ll participate in practical training, lectures, and mobility sessions that not only enhance your running but also improve your posture and prevent injuries. Choose to stay the entire weekend with accommodation and spa or join us only on Saturday. Whatever you decide, you’ll leave with fresh inspiration and renewed strength!

About Nathalie – Your Leader and Inspiration

In addition to our trained running group leaders, it is our founder, Nathalie, who will guide the training sessions and deliver the lectures throughout the weekend. Nathalie is the founder of VarjeSteg and has an extensive background as a licensed physiotherapist, certified running coach, movement coach, and postural trainer. Her passion is to help people move the way the body was designed to – with pain-free movement and joy as the ultimate goals.

With her deep expertise in movement patterns and sustainable running technique, Nathalie has inspired many to discover the path to pain-free running. She has completed distances of up to 100 miles (160 kilometers) and understands what it takes for the body to perform without overloading. Her experience and knowledge have made her a sought-after speaker, and she has delivered countless lectures on running technique and postural training.

Nathalie has also been interviewed multiple times by outlets such as Göteborgs-Posten, P4 Göteborg, and Svenska Dagbladet, where she has shared her insights on sustainable running and pain-free movement. Her passion for helping others grow as runners and as individuals shines through in everything she does – something you’ll experience firsthand during our running weekend.

Accommodation

We’ll stay at Sankt Jörgen Park Spa, a beautiful setting perfect for both training and recovery. The spa package is included, allowing us to enjoy a relaxing atmosphere with warm pools, hot saunas, and cozy lounge beds. A spa ritual is also included, guiding you through a soothing and rejuvenating experience.

You can choose to stay in a twin room with separate beds or a single room. If you’re traveling with someone, there’s also the option to book a room with a double bed. Additionally, you can opt to participate only on Saturday or add accommodation from Friday – more details can be found in the registration form below.

Program

Saturday: Running technique & Postural training

  • 08:30: Welcome meeting
  • 09:00 – 10:00: Postural Training and Morning routine
    Training to correct imbalances and improve posture, focusing on a smooth and strong running technique. A session to wake up the body and enhance mobility ahead of the day’s activities.
  • 10:30 – 12:00: Gentle and Effective Running Training & Technique
    An enjoyable running session focused on posture and running technique to promote more efficient and injury-free running.
  • 12:00 – 13:00: Lunch
  • 13:00 – 14:00: Lecture: Pain-Free Running and Optimal Posture
    Learn how proper running technique and posture can prevent injuries and optimize your performance. We’ll also delve into our roots—our feet—and the impact of footwear
  • 14:00 – 15:00: Hill
    Deep dive into uphill and downhill running technique, focusing on a smooth and strong running technique.
  • 15:00 – 18:00: Spa
    After a day filled with training and inspiration, we end with a relaxing spa ritual featuring a sauna and pool. The ritual gives you access to ice-cold baths, steaming saunas, and soothing relaxation rooms. You can choose a product kit that accompanies and guides your ritual.
  • 19:00: Dinner

Sunday: Recovery och Reflection

  • 07:30 – 08:30: Yoga & Stretching
    A restorative session to loosen tight muscles and improve flexibility. Yoga inspired by postural training.
  • 09:00: Breakfast
  • 10:00 – 11:00: Relaxing Run
    A relaxing final run focusing on smooth and technical movements, perfect for integrating what you’ve learned over the weekend.
  • 11:30- 12:00: Summary & Reflection
    We review the lessons of the weekend, and you’ll receive practical tips to continue developing your running at home

Travel guarantee/Insurance

The weekend is held in collaboration with Sankt Jörgen Park, which provides a travel guarantee to the Swedish Legal, Financial and Administrative Services Agency (Kammarkollegiet) in accordance with the Package Travel Act. Please ensure that your home insurance covers the trip.

Price from 2900 SEK The price includes: All lectures on running technique, posture, and injury prevention, Practical sessions in running technique, postural training, and mobility, Access to the spa and relaxation area throughout the weekend with a spa ritual, Accommodation in a double room or single room (optional), All meals from Saturday to Sunday, including a three-course dinner on Saturday evening, and a large and generous goodie bag.

Booking conditions: The trip can be canceled up to 42 days before the start date. For cancellations made later, the following fees apply: Cancellations made less than 6 weeks before the arrival date will incur a 75% charge. Cancellations made less than 3 weeks before the arrival date will incur a 100% charge.
