Corsica is a beautiful and unique destination with spectacular landscapes. We’ll be close to stunning surroundings and can enjoy both the beach and breathtaking mountain views.
Who is this trip for?
Weather
The weather in May is perfect for running, similar to a Swedish summer, with temperatures around 20–23 degrees Celsius
Food
The trip includes half-board accommodation, with breakfast and dinner provided. You can enjoy international cuisine with local influences. Breakfast and dinner are served on the large terrace or in the castle’s dining room. Whenever possible, they use local ingredients and products.
Lunch and beverages during meals are not included.
Coaches
In addition to our trained running group leaders, running coach Victoria Langley will be leading the training sessions and adventures. She is a highly appreciated instructor in our running courses, with extensive experience leading training trips to Corsica and excellent local knowledge of the area.
Anders Forss will also be one of the trip leaders. He is a certified personal trainer (PT) and an instructor in VarjeSteg’s running courses, with solid experience in leading running groups and training trips.
Accommodation
We will stay in L’Île-Rousse at Langley Resort Napoleon Bonaparte, a resort deeply rooted in Corsican culture. The hotel’s main castle building dates back to 1839 and is a well-known cultural and historical landmark among locals.
The hotel is located just 100 meters from the long beach and the town square and features its own pool area. The castle building has undergone a complete renovation. Inside, you’ll find the reception, a cocktail lounge, and the restaurant.
Program
We’ll stay in the small town of L’Île-Rousse and run along winding roads to the mountain village of Monticello, continue to Santa Reparata di Balagna, and explore trails along the Mediterranean, including cliffs and nature reserves leading to Algajola and Lumio.
- Saturday (arrival day for the flight from Copenhagen) – Enjoyable and sustainable running or rest day.
- Sunday (arrival day for the flight from Gothenburg) – Run and an overview of the fundamentals of gentle movement and running technique, followed by a group dinner in the evening.
- Monday – Postural traning (Mobility training/activation for better posture) and running with an overview of sustainable running technique upphill.
- Tuesday – Trail running och running technique in trail
- Wednesday – Long distance run – several options for running or hiking/running
- Thursday – Rest day
- Friday – Morning run, running-specific strength training & trailrunning
- Saturday – Return trip for Copenhagen travelers, Enjoyable and sustainable running for others
- Sunday– Return trip for Gothenburg travelers.

Booking terms:
A deposit of 3000 SEK per traveler is due at the time of booking, and the final payment must be made no later than 60 days before the departure date. The trip can be canceled up to 61 days before departure (the booking fee is non-refundable). Cancellations made after 61 days will result in a refund of everything except the booking fee and flight ticket.
