These general conditions apply when you book your trip with VarjeSteg.

1. Booking

The customer’s booking with VarjeSteg is binding and it is the customer’s responsibility that all information is filled in correctly. The customer receives a booking confirmation by mail in connection with their booking.

2. Booking fee

A booking fee must be paid within 10 days of the customer making their booking. The booking fee is SEK 3,000 and the payment option is invoice. The booking fee is not refundable in case of cancellation. The booking fee is deducted from the final payment.

3. Final payment

The final payment is sent via email with the sum for the entire trip about 8 weeks before the departure date and must be paid within 10 days. The customer can choose the payment method swisch, credit card or invoice. If the customer’s payment is not made on time without notifying us, we assume that you have chosen to cancel and then our cancellation rules apply.

4. Cancellation rules

The customer is obliged to notify us as soon as possible if he/she needs to cancel the trip. Please note that in case of non-payment, the customer will be liable for repayment according to our cancellation rules.

The following applies if cancellation takes place:

  • 60 days or more before departure, the customer is only liable to pay the booking fee.
  • 60-30 days before departure, the customer is liable for payment of 50% of the total sum for the trip on presentation of a medical certificate. Without a medical certificate, the customer is liable for the full amount.
  • 0-30 days before departure there is no refund due to injuries or illness.

NOTE: The booking fee is not refunded in case of cancellation.

5. Right of withdrawal

The right of cancellation of 14 days does not apply when booking travel and accommodation such as hotel nights. See “When the right of withdrawal does not apply” under the heading right of withdrawal on the Swedish Consumer Agency’s statutes.

6. Own risk

The customer is aware that as a participant in VarjeSteg’s training journey, everything is at their own risk. VarjeSteg is not responsible for any costs if the customer is injured, sick, if the customer’s clothes are damaged or something similar. The customer is responsible for your insurance and also has his insurance papers with him on the trip in case something happens and he/she needs to visit a hospital.

7. Special requests

The customer should contact us at the time of booking if he/she has special requests such as e.g. allergies, dietary requirements, cots or room type. We cannot guarantee that they can be arranged, but we will try to accommodate your wishes. You need to have received confirmation from us in writing that your request has been noted in order for you to be guaranteed that your request will be fulfilled.

8. Canceled trip

If VarjeSteg is forced to cancel the trip, the customer will get their entire payment back as compensation. However, this does not apply if your trip is canceled due to circumstances beyond our control, such as: war, civil insurrection, industrial corruption, acts of terrorism, natural disaster, weather, fire, canceled flights or the like.
